About the Role
As a Service Manager, you will lead the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of our service, ensuring excellent standards of care and compliance with all regulatory and clinical governance requirements. You will provide strong leadership to the onsite team, oversee budgets, and build effective relationships with stakeholders to create a positive and nurturing environment for both the people we support and the staff.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership: Provide clear direction, supervision, and development opportunities for employees through supervisions and appraisals.
Operational Excellence: Oversee the daily management of the service, ensuring compliance with the Care Inspectorate and other regulatory requirements.
Resident Care: Coordinate admissions, assessments, and discharge plans for the people we support while safeguarding their rights and well-being.
Financial Management: Manage budgets, resources and financial records.
Communication: Maintain effective communication across the unit and with stakeholders, including the families of the people we support and external agencies.
Safeguarding: Ensure all the people we support are protected from abuse and staff follow safeguarding protocols.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in a care or clinical environment.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, clinical governance, and health care legislation.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and team-building skills.
- Financial and resource management experience.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
- NVQ level 5 is desirable
